Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Z Development Studios ("we", "us"), the company that operates Ibis: the website ibis.works, the Ibis dashboards, the Ibis Driver app and the Ibis Parent app (together, "the Service"). By using the Service you accept these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or school, you confirm you are allowed to accept them for it.
1. The Service
Ibis helps fleet operators and schools run their vehicles: live tracking, trips and routes, attendance, alerts, documents and reports. Features differ by product (Industrial Fleet, School Transport, Sales Fleet) and by what your organisation has subscribed to.
2. Accounts
- There is no self sign-up. We create each customer organisation and its first administrator; the organisation then invites its own staff.
- A driver signs in to the Ibis Driver app with a vehicle's plate number and a password set by the organisation. That login belongs to the vehicle, not to a person, and may be used by whichever driver the organisation assigns to it.
- Parents receive access from their child's school.
- Keep your credentials confidential and tell your organisation at once if you suspect misuse. You are responsible for what is done under your login.
3. The customer's responsibilities
- The organisation that enters data into Ibis is responsible for having the right to do so: informing its staff and drivers, obtaining parental consent for students, and keeping the data accurate.
- The organisation decides its own tracking policy (when vehicles report their position) and is responsible for applying it lawfully to its drivers.
- The organisation is responsible for its vehicles, drivers, students and operations. Ibis is a tool that shows and records information; it does not drive, dispatch or supervise.
4. Using the Driver app safely
- Do not handle the phone while driving. Start and end trips, mark attendance and attach documents only when the vehicle is safely stopped.
- The app shares the vehicle's location in the background while reporting is on, and shows a notification while it does. Turning the phone off, enabling flight mode or signing out stops reporting; your organisation may require reporting to stay on during shifts.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service to break the law, to track people without a lawful basis, or to harass anyone.
- Do not attempt to gain access to data of another organisation, probe or overload the Service, or copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the apps.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful or that you have no right to share.
6. Fees
Fees are set out in the contract between the customer organisation and us. The apps contain no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
7. Licence to use the apps (end-user licence)
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Ibis Driver app and the Ibis Parent app on a device you control, solely to use the Service as permitted by your organisation. All rights in the Service, the apps, their design and their content remain ours or our licensors'. This licence ends when your organisation's access ends or if you break these terms.
8. Your data
The data your organisation enters stays its property. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Maps and route planning use Google Maps Platform and are also subject to Google's terms of service.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and may change or add features over time. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, security reasons or when required by law, and we will try to give notice. Mobile apps may require updates to keep working.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is". Location data depends on the phone's GPS, network coverage and the phone's own power settings, and may be delayed, inaccurate or missing. Maps and estimated times come from third parties. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from inaccurate or unavailable location data, from the acts of drivers or other users, or from events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to a customer under the contract is limited to the fees that customer paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Termination
A customer may end its contract as that contract provides. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms. After termination we delete or return the customer's data as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Disputes are brought before the competent courts of Cairo, unless the customer contract provides otherwise.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version; significant changes are notified to customers. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
