Data and Account Deletion
Last updated: 24 October 2026
How to stop Ibis from holding your data, for each kind of user. You do not need the app installed to make a request.
Drivers (Ibis Driver app)
The Driver app has no personal account. The login belongs to a vehicle and is created by your fleet operator or school, which is the owner of that data. That means:
- To stop sharing your location now: open the menu in the app and choose Log out. This ends the session on the phone and stops location reporting immediately. You can also uninstall the app.
- To remove the vehicle login and its data: ask your operator. In the Ibis dashboard they can reset the vehicle's password (which ends every signed-in phone) or remove the vehicle.
- Raw location points are deleted automatically after about 30 days. Trip records (start, end, mileage, costs, documents) are the operator's business records and are kept or deleted by the operator.
Parents (Ibis Parent app)
- Ask your child's school to remove you or your child from Ibis; the school controls that data.
- Or email hello@thefoundry.run from the address registered with the school, with the school's name. We confirm with the school and delete your parent account and its notifications within 30 days.
Staff of a fleet operator or school
- Ask your organisation's Ibis administrator to archive your user, which removes your access and your name from active lists.
- For full deletion of your sign-in record, email hello@thefoundry.run from your work address. We delete it within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it.
Website visitors
- To delete a message you sent through the contact form, email hello@thefoundry.run and quote the email address you used.
What we need from you
Tell us which product you used, the organisation (company or school) and, for drivers, the vehicle plate. Because organisations own their data, we verify every request with the organisation before acting. We confirm by email when the deletion is done.
